In 1983 American Motors made less that 5000 cars between the Concord sedan, wagon & Spirit models I do believe. I looked up the numbers about 2 or more years ago.
So lets break it down ... lets say that about 3K Spirits were made in 1983. Mine is a GT so that might be about 1500 GT's ... mine is a 4.2L inline 6cly w/ auto. So by the time you break it down to color & stuff I have one of about 200 or less.
American Motors was bought out by Chrystler in 1987 just so Chrystler could obtain the Jeep line of vehicles & 1987 was the last year for the Eagle part of AMC.
I live in GA and AMC's are rare in the south. Most of the cars remain up north where the AMC plants were. The main plant being in Kenosha, Wi.
