"maybe its me but i normally take the posts on the humor board to be 'jokes'..."
Touche.
But that still doesn't explain the bumper sticker "I LOVE CATS. DEAD ONES." or the DENVER CAT KILLER or whatever they are gonna call him/them.
And thanks for answering the question. "cats are fucking annoying" really cleared everything up for me.
edit: I'm really bored at work. Thus, this topic.
edit of the edit: I doubt anyone is going to get mad at you for giving your opinion, and if so...fuck em.
Anyways, I think it all comes down to training as far as them getting into everything and jumping on counters and what not. My cats did that maybe the first month of them realizing they can jump on the counter. But after a little patience from me they stopped completely. I cook a lot as well, and they don't come near me when I am, and if they do, I just tell them to "bounce" and they leave. I think a lot of the time people are like..."cats can't be trained to listen" so they give up. Which is bullshit. Cats can be trained. I had a cat that would fetch. I also have cats that come inside when i just yell their names outside once. Sure cats maybe a bit more stubborn, because they are "freethinkers" if you will, but they can and do listen if you have a good relationship with them.
As far as the shedding.....yeah, it sucks. Can't do anything about it but vacuum a couple of times a week and thank the lint roller gods.
The litter box....yes cleaning the litter box can suck...only because it takes two minutes (if that) out of my day everyday. This way I avoid shit and piss building up so they don't have to step in it everytime they go in there.
Bringing home unwanted guests......it can suck, but out of the 13 years I have had cats, they have never brought one in the house. Just left it outside for us to show what they brought home for us out of love since they consider us part of the family and sort of a way to say, "dinners on me tonite".
