Well, I guess I could share my stories as well guys,
It all started with my car, a 1988 Chrystler LeBaron Convertible
Well, to begin, My car was first broken into in my High School Parking lot. How? They just hacked a hole in the soft top, and took my CD Player...
Time passes, and I bought a new CD Player...
Now, I walk out from school again, and I notice that my CD Player is again missing in action. I look at my car to see how they got in, thinking that they had just used the hole in the top, but no, they weren't even considerate enough for that. On the other side of my car, there was a fresh, brand new hole for someone to use.
Time passes, and I bought a different CD Player...
Again, I walk out from school, and much to my suprise, (well, not really anymore...) I see that my car has been broken into. This time, the bastards, instead of using 1 of 2 holes already in the top, pry open my door w/ a crowbar. Beautiful....
Well, more time passes, and I get everything fixed, (including the holes) and buy yet another CD Player...
I walk out of my house to get into my car in the morning, and as I look in, I see that papers and broken glass are all over the interior of my car... I promptly call the police, open up my car (broken passenger side window) and look for anything that is missing. Here's the strange part: The only thing that was missing was my CD player's faceplate (useless without the CD Player itself). I had prescription Morphine in my locked glovebox (which was pried open), cigarettes, and my CD's. All of my paperwork had been gone through and scattered throughout the car. Interestingly, As I was cleaning out the vehicle, I noticed that all of the broken glass was on top of the paperwork, there was none underneath. This leads me to believe that whoever broke into my car either picked the lock or opened it in a less intrusive way, but when they didn't find what they were looking for, took the faceplate and smashed the window to make it look like a common burglary. Now, I have no idea what they were looking for, but I would be interested to find out.
The following night, (after getting my window fixed) I got home later at night. There was a car parked on the street next to my house, but I didn't take much notice of it until I saw someone bolt from the side of my house, into the car (someone else had flung open the door) and watched it peel off with the person sticking halfway out of the car. I, of course, slammed my car into gear and chased them. At first, they didn't notice me behind them, but the second they did the driver swerved onto the wrong side of the street and gunned it. I followed close behind, and once I had their license plate & make of car, I let them go due to the fact that we were driving rather wrecklessly. (60mph in the oncoming lane) I called the police, gave them the info, and never heard about it again.
Just thought I would share....
