One of my roomies, a girl at the same university, was ok, most of the time, BUT!
She got this cat. Now I LOVE cats, but I learned to hate this beast. First the bastard gets fleas and infests the house with them. Then he started spraying indoors.
I had a downstairs room with bath, so I never closed the door. So I'm sitting there on the thrown doing my thing and the little bastard comes in to be petted. Ok, fine, pet the cat. THEN he backs up to my leg and proceeds to SPRAY me, marking me as his territory!
Well, I didn't even think, the foot just shot out and launched the cat into the opposite wall. He took off and I didn't see him for a day or so.
The little bastard is still spraying in the house and the acidic nature of the urine is eating the paint off of some file cabinets in my other roomie's room.
About a month later, my roommate says and I quote, "It's bad enough he is peeing on everyone elses stuff, but now he's peeing on MY STUFF!". I think the cat went to the shelter the next day or two.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." – C.
