There's an old Pennsylvania Dutch saying that goes "Kissin' wears out...good cookin' don't."
The frosting on a cake is fun to look at, and tastes pretty good, if you don't eat too much. But it's the cake itself, underneath the frosting, that's the important part. Of course we want sex, but there needs to be substance beneath it.
