I was in the beta as well and I didn't give it much time. I never played EQ but I played AO and E&B. I was quite bored with it after 4-5 hours of play. The graphics are amazing but I agree with Forks when he says it is like a huge chatroom. I thought AO, for all it's faults, did a better job of creating a sense of atmosphere. I didn't like the combat system very much and stopped playing pretty quickly. I'm certainly not an expert on this game, but I play a lot of games and this one didn't hold me.
