I'll be on the veranda, since you're on the cross.

Not exactly a seltzer maker, I but I do have a Soda-stream unit.

The pros: It works really well. You have a level of control of the amount of carbonation you prefer. Comes with cool bottles and a lot of different soda/seltzer water flavors. Flavorings and co2 tanks are relatively inexpensive. If you don't want to purchase flavorings, (or actually want flavorings) if you know how to make a simple syrup and flavor it with whatever you choose, game on. The "energy" formula is pretty much a complete ripoff of Red Bull, costs about $5-$7 and I tend to get anywhere from 8-10 liters per jug o flavoring. Beats the hell out of $3-$5 a can, depending on the size and your appreciation/tolerance for energy drinks.

The cons: uses non-proprietary bottles and co2 canisters. That being said, the bottles and co2 canisters last a long time. I've had my setup for over a year and I've replaced the co2 canister once. You can spend about $100 for a conversion kit to run it off of paintball tanks with a <$5 refill, or spend about $15 once in a while to get a new tank.
