While I wasn't picking up on subtle social cues, I also wasn't pointing and dancing around her while singing "Baby Got Back." I was trying to be friendly with a co-worker in a less than choice situation. More so, I posted a topic asking other's opinion on how to better address a similar circumstances.
If the first post came off as patronizing and insulting that was just because I was trying to be too "cute" with my word selection. That wasn't the intention.
It would be crass to say I purposely acted poorly.
