I was extremely excited about my life prospects 5 years ago. I had just moved across the country after graduating from college. I didn't have a job but I had a good chunk of savings so was able to just enjoy my new surroundings. I was in a relationship that I thought I wanted that has since ended but at the time I couldn't have been happier.
I remember finally feeling free of my past, and all of the criticisms and family pressure that came with it. I will be the first to admit I was incredibly naive at the time.
