I experimented with no soap. I've found that using good hot water will get everything pretty clean, even without soap. That includes handwashing. My soap of choice is Kirk's Castile Soap.
We used it on the farm where we had really hard well water, and it was the only thing that would get up a good lather. Now I just prefer it. I always soap pits and under/between my boobs, which, especially in warm humid weather, tend to sweat.
I enjoy a good shower. I can get out it 5 minutes or so if I have to, but I prefer a leisurely shower.
Or sometimes a quick shower to get clean, and then put the stopper in and soak in the bath tub. Ah, simple pleasures.
