best thing to do is to wake up, take a piss and shit, and weigh yourself without eating or drinking anything beforehand. that way, you've not added weight from stuff you've eaten, but you've also gotten rid of excess shit and water in your body before weighing.

last week, i weighed myself at night to see how much of a change there could be, and then the following morning, and there was a 5.5 pound difference. pretty crazy.
