Here in Finland municipalities have 2 week summer jobs reserved for certain amount of students starting from age 15. It's mostly mowing lawns or taking care of kids at summer clubs. Some of my son's friends were already 15 last year, so he was quite disappointed, when he wasn't chosen this summer and the others got their second chance already.
Later in the summer he luckily got a job outside the system, it was simple helping at a factory stapling roof trusses, 8 hours a day, the usual working day. He was very pleased and eager to work and get some own money.
Here the teens have 2,5 month summer vacation, so 2 weeks work is not much. My son has long school days and hobbies, so at this point it's not wise to think about working during school periods.
