This is where I diverge with separating the wheat from the chaff. I don't think that a gay muslim should representative of anything other than what the constituency wants.
As jove and dlish stated which I am in agreement with, is that it is important to note the actions of someone personally does not or should not affect their performance when it comes to how they vote on matters for their constituents.
Unfortunately too many people rely on the visible touchstones that are available to them because that's what they can identify within themselves as connections.
Good for Calgary in electing someone that they believe is better for them.
