Show business is defined as a broad umbrella term for all genres that would encompass the entertainment business, or the "business of show", which would include radio, cinema, television, theater, music, fashion and in certain circumstances, news reporting. A like-minded synonymous term to what showbusiness entails is anyone who is associated with the production, direction or characterization of an entertainment program; additionally, what could be deemed as 'synonymous' is the fluid application of the title of
celebrity.
