We've displayed post counts in the past. We moved past that years ago. You can look it up on someone's profile if you're curious, but it's not really a metric that we assign much weight to outside of the promotion tool that the staff uses. The only way that you can even begin to guess someone's post count these days is by their user title, which might change after certain milestones are reached. However, it takes a moderator (or admin) to physically upgrade you, and they only do that after they review your contributions for content. That review is manual instead of automatic because there are some hidden parts of the board that have some sensitive information about folks that we want to keep from a Google crawl - or any moron who cuts and pastes original work onto another board.
