Looks like you're jolly well fucked if the cop is saying there's no doubt in his mind that you're the guy who did it. It doesn't seem like you have much to your story either. I believe you when you say that you didn't do it, but to someone else (your neighbor/police) it looks like a perfect match. I think you need some solid proof, although I doubt you;'ll have any.
