I was pretty disappointed to learn about
The Indie Love Bundle after the sale was over. Who doesn't like a great deal on some really fun indie games?!
Well, now there's
The Humble Indie Bundle! While the games offered in this bundle aren't
quite as exciting to me, they're still very good (I've played World of Goo and Gish, both are fun). Plus, while The Indie Love Bundle was $20 for an $85 value, the Humble Indie Bundle is pay-what-you-want for an $80 value... AND you can direct some or all of your money to charity for
Child's Play and the
Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Currently, the average contribution is $7.93. Split evenly, that's only $1.14 to each participant. Creative types just like to have their work appreciated first and foremost, so if that - or less - is all you can afford, go get the games anyway! If you can afford more, please consider supporting indie game developers and two excellent organizations. I'm paying $20 - the price I would have paid for The Indie Love Bundle that I missed.
