The opening, before they get to the gates, had me aghast - that BUUUH!-BUUUH!-BUUUH!-BUUUH! music and that insane helicopter shot. No problems with the ending either and the middle was mostly fun too. DiCaprio is totally magnetic no matter what he does and Ruffalo was an ideal number 2 man. Kingsley was clearly having a ball as was Ted Levine. Lip-smacking performances which is exactly what a film like this needs. And it's always a pleasure to see (and hear- that voice!) Max Von Sydow. It was maybe a little bit longer than it needed to be. 8/10
