I got the same notice, some thousand of days less. So I changed it as requested, browsed for a while, wrote a response to a thread, clicked the preview button, and POOF!!!! it all disappeared into electronville,

because now when I log in, it doesn't keep me logged in!
What happened to the old "If it works, DON'T FIX IT" axiom?

Can't I just change my own password if I think it has been compromised.
Or do passwords now have a "born on date" and eventually expire like stale beer?
