I have a question about the remote settings on a computer. I am borderline computer literate, and should most likely not even be on a computer, lol. I mean as far as knowing anything about security.
The question is: In my remote settings , in the Systems Properties, I DO NOT have the box checked that says to allow remote assistance connections on this computer. However, today, I was at a web site for 24 hour Fitness, and a chat box came up, with a live person, asking to assist me. How was that able to happen when the remote assistance box is not checked?
As I was writing that, it dawned on me, that it is most likely because I was on their web site, but I would still like some insight, with minimum laughter, lol.
