It's just blood...
To me, it seems no different than other fluids that come out of the vagina. None of them are particularly... appetizing, this one just has a bright color and can be a bit chunky sometimes.
Truthfully, I was a bit worried myself before I earned my wings, but it's really not any worse or better than when there's no blood.
