Be open with him. Just try to talk about in in a non-confrontational way. I can see being upset, by there's really no reason to be angry, not yet anyway. He fucked up by not deleting that picture, or even continuing to talk to the girl if it is indeed WOW girl, but don't go off half-cocked. You know him better than we do, so if you're capable of seeing the forest through the trees you'll have a decent chance of telling whether or not he's lying when you guys finally sit down to talk about it.
