What's a "back button"? Is this feature within your respective browsers?

If it is, I rarely use it because I opt for the easier to use keyboard shortcuts of 'alt + left arrow', or just 'z' when not in a text box. (pressing 'z' is Opera-specific only, I think). Also, the backspace button should work as well, but I don't think I've pressed it more than ten times total in the three years I've had this CP.

after the quickest google search ever (Opera's g + back button) I found an intriguing article that may be your answer (specific problem).
