Blackberry Curve 8330
Apps I use are:
- Facebook
- AIM/ICQ - ICQ doesn't work with sprint but you can still use BB AIM to login to your ICQ account
- iSkoot for Skype - third-party Skype client for instant messaging and VOIP for your BB. Officially, there is only a beta BB Skype client
- Opera Mini - amazing third-party browser. Provides content in a much richer form, and it is faster because of the unique data compression used to provide content
- QuickPull Lite - a soft reset initiator, similar to pulling the battery, or the reset after deleting apps
- Google Search
- Google Maps
- Gmail
- BlackTrack - logs all calls and emails: names, times, and duration of those two types of events, and emails the log to you. Useful when Sprint tries to screw you on minutes used when they say that so 'n' so isn't a Sprint/Nextel customer or you're being charged for minutes used during your free periods.
Stay away from Google Sync!!
click to show It dicks up things royally with your BB. I have a number of businesses and colleagues in my BB, and I've meticulously entered in their information. Google Sync decides it's smarter than I and edits all their information. Many of my European colleagues have long titles (e.g. "Prof. Dr.-Ing."), even longer last names, and any letters permitted by degrees held. It will lump the titles and any extra names in their last name into their first name leaving things like BSME as the last name--not how it is supposed to be! I know that Gmail addresses use the exact same entries for address storage as the BB. I've exported my Gmail contacts into my Thunderbird installations many times, and I know the contact files fairly well; the entries in the BB are the same as the contact data sheet. Also, it has a stupid habit of overriding edits I've made to my calendar with that of my Google Calendar. I set it up so that birthday's are an all day event on my BB, but Google Sync wants to make it a day and 15 minutes. No matter what settings I change, it always adds or resets the reminder to 15 minutes.
Also, I've been experiencing problems with the Pandora radio app after an update. Anyone else having it crash with certain stations? I have stations that based off of the predefined genres. Whenever I try to play one of these stations, my BB eventually freezes after 10 minutes and requires me to do a soft reset.
@ jewels: you use vlingo. Did you purchase the full version? How well does it work? I am hesitant to try it, since I know of no one else that will install it to help me test it out. The free version only allows one to send messages to other vlingo users.

Was it an actual problem with the camera or did it just change the side button association?
