I'm the same way when it comes to decor. I have some odd, but cool stuff in my place - large wooden hand incense burners, imported wooden bowls and chargers and some crazy cool cast iron urns and what not.

I haven't smelled it in those forms but I know what you mean - the same scent can smell different.
Have you tried Super Hit? It's also made by Satya. Very similar to Nag Champa but with a touch of vanilla. It's another staple I keep around.
