That's exactly what I do. I haven't had cable for years. I'm content with the main channels - even happier with the digital switch as my reception's waaaay better now. But I leave both tv's on constantly unless it's bedtime. I have one here in the office and one in the living room. Often it's just white noise. But I must have it. I went tv-less a while ago but I went nuts. I didn't realize it until I sat in front of a tv again. It just makes me feel human.
