The future of F1
So it's coming down to the last minute here, supposedly, and so far there is no agreement. The entry list is to be published on Friday and only 2 of the current participating teams have entered unconditionally. Bernie Eccelstone has several famous names lodged as possible teams, although some of them are being challenged (Brahbam and now Lotus). I'm sure a lot of the news is just each side trying to posture themselves and gain the upper hand. What do you think is going to happen with F1?
I think a split would be disastrous for the sport and result in all kinds of drama and a huge legal mess that would drag on forever, seriously damaging F1, the FIA, and whatever series is formed. I'm guessing the FIA will give in to some sort of negotiation period and all teams which are contractually obligated to participate next year will be placed on the entry list.
