I am filling in a form to request funding for Personal Development. I want to take a second language course. I work in I.T. so this is not exactly related to my tasks like a course in SQL scripting would be. This is OK though, because that is what the PD budget is intended for. (semi-related or not-related to work training).
There is a section however where I need to fill in comments on the benefit to the employer and myself.
Can anyone point me to some web resources, or articles on how PD in general, or a second language (employee) can benefit the employer ?
