Every day carry goes like this:
Front left: Cell phone, lighter
Front right: Keys
Back left: Comb
Back right: Wallet
And then in my jacket, I have three inside pockets.
Bottom left: Pen(s), spare lighter
Top left: Cigarettes
And the right inside pocket is for any temporary papers or other things I might need. I don't wear gloves as a rule, so the outside pockets on my jacket are strictly for my hands. I also wear or bring my jacket in all weather. It's not even about being cold so much as it is having the extra storage space. Sometimes I'll wear a shirt with a breast pocket and forego the jacket, but that means I can't bring any pens with me. I don't want my pens right next to my body, in case they leak.
