What if you went to a nice restaurant with her? I'd be embarrassed to go out with her. If she complains about this, she complains all the time about everything. Anywho, McD's apologized and sent her a refund and said the staff should have refunded her right away but made a mistake.

I was gonna say...I used to work for McDonalds and I definitely recall giving a couple of customers refunds. It required getting my manager--that's all. But I can tell you that the average person who works at McDonalds barely has two brain cells to rub together. However, there are more than a few intelligent people out there who have worked for the Golden Arches for various reasons. Seems like this customer ran into a worker who falls into the former category, not the latter.
The worker failed to adhere to the maxim that has seen me through many a customer service job: "The customer is ALWAYS right...even when they're wrong."
