Seaver...we ageee on the need for more transparency and more comprehensive earmark reform.
The Democratic bill that as enacted last session (
S.1 - see subtitle B - Earmark Reform) doesnt go far enough, but it serves as a good start..or at least the best attempt in the last 15 years.
BTW,
McCain (since this is his thread) and 13 other Republicans voted against it because it "didnt go far enough"....evidently they preferred no loaf over half a loaf.
