Tully, I feel the same way about my parents' central vacuum system as you do about your dyson. Didn't realize how spoiled I was until I moved away.
Appliances I hate:
Food processor. Not just any food processors - just the broken one that my mother in law still uses because she doesn't want to bother getting one that's functional.
Refrigerator. See reason above.
Garage refrigerator. See reason above.
Garage door opener. See reason above.
I swear this place isn't falling apart, just a few critical pieces.
