Not IN the US (he'll get an American passport in 3 years), but it would be helpful for when he travels to Europe in the next few years, or most particularly if we ever decide to move back to Europe and live in France, etc. But then again, since I have an EEA passport, he should be okay getting permits through me. It will just be a little more paperwork (if it were any more trouble than that, we would have stayed on in Iceland another 2 years).
