Sometimes I imagine scenarios where there is something very, very wrong and everyone I speak to or try to get help from is completely indifferent to it.
I had a large hardcover book called "The Power to Heal" when I was a kid that had photographs of medical procedures, patients, etc. There was one story of a girl who had been left in a camping trailer when the propane tanks caught fire, and it left her severely burned all over her body. I was terrified of that picture and would get very frightened being anywhere near the book after dark.
