Here are some suggestions. I've given you some ideas that aren't strictly metal, per se. There's some industrial/electronic stuff here too, mainly because these bands are still heavy, and still give some of that strong beat you like. I'd say all of these bands are heavy, even if they aren't exactly metal.
Emigrate
Eisbrecher (they sing in German though)
KMFDM
Covenant
Children of Bodom (not real bass/rhythm oriented, but musically interesting)
