The drum / countdown ceremony was awesome. That it was done without electronic and digital gizmos makes it even more amazing. The tableau featuring admiral Zheng He was beautifully done. The costumes, the colors, everything is mesmerising.
The only downer was the commentators, especially Matt Lauer.
