I'm not sure I get your story, but to answer the question, yes, I have visited a sex shop, but not alone, so far.

I wasn't embarrassed...it never crossed my mind I'd meet someone I know in there. Plus my boyfriend of the time was hot so I was good

I also agree most of what they sell is useless...though there's a lot in them you can laugh about heh.
