I had read the books but not in years and years so I was going in fairly fresh.
Anyway, the first half of this movie I was bored as hell. There was a quick chase scene which was okay at best and a few quick action scenes but for the most part I found the dialog dull and the plot just plodding along.
Then all of a sudden it became a comedy. It wasn't supposed to but damn there was some funny stuff in that had me laughing (and about half of the people in the theatre too) out loud. Gets one star for unintentionally being one of the funniest movies I've seen in theatres in a long time.
