Thats what I got out of it. A good rush like the old days. Is it Raiders or Lost Ark all over again? Um no. But then again it really couldn't expect to be. It's sure as hell better than Temple of Doom though.

It wasn't fun. The fact it wasn't Raiders or Lost Ark all over again made it not fucking fun. It was videogame-graphics trash that has embarassed the series.
For a series as good as Indiana Jones, we should expect better - we shouldn't be expected to lower our standards just because it's a 4th movie and 18 years later.
Simple fixes could have made this movie great - 1. Real sets with real action sequences - use CGI to cover up wires and replace backgrounds, but not entire sets 2. Use something more dungeon-crawler oriented for the main plot - such as finding religious artifacts or temples or something - just not aliens. Aliens. ugh. This was X-Files 2.
And what was with the HDR? The entire movie was like a dream sequence with the HDR effects overload. I don't remember the last movies looking like that. They were shot with real cameras on real sets and it looked awesome!
