"Flight of the Navigator" was my favorite film as a child. I would watch it and then watch it again. My family never really understood why. They liked the movie too but not the the same extent.
"Jurassic Park" isn't really a kids movie but my parents took me to see it when I was ten and I spent most of the time with my face in my mom's shoulder, hiding my eyes. It wasn't until several years later that I was able to watch it without covering my eyes.
"Little Mermaid" encouraged all of my friends and I to 'sing' like Ariel. Of course, there can only be one Ariel at a time so we would have sing-offs to determine who was going to play her. Basically it was all of us singing in various pitches and at various volumes until someone was chosen.
