I always looked forward to the annual showing of The Wizard of Oz which I believe was around Memorial Day weekend.
I also remember an annual showing of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
And of course quite often The Wonderful World of Disney would show something that I'd enjoy watching.

That's for sure (re dating us) At least I wasn't around for the initial release of Wizard of Oz. But I was for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. As for Disney, it was a Sunday ritual, preceded by Marlin Perkins and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.... (It was on some American network supposedly in living colour, but it was still black and white to our TV).

My favorite childhood movie would have to be Aladdin. Milo and Otis is also up there.

that's funny. But I think there was only one Herbie movie, until the remakes & sequels etc in the what? mid '80's?? But I guess you're a young'un yourself. Aladdin wasn't too long ago.
