When I started working an overnight shift, I had a lot of trouble getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep a night (well, day really) until I started going to the gym for an hour or so after work. Try a long walk, jog, bike ride. If you're trying to get to sleep during the day, try to keep your room as dark as possible.
James Bond movies work well for me too, I don't think I've ever managed to stay awake through a whole one, but that's just me.
