I am more than happy to say that I'm still a virgin - by choice - and I am 27. I made that decision consciously (for romantic, non-religious reasons) after learning what I could about sex and the different views on it, and although at times it's hard to stick by that decision when opportunity presents itself, I don't use it as an excuse for myself. Grow up.

Your mindset about this issue is seriously warped - and, yes, a lot of that comes from your upbringing, but now you know that and so it's time to start fixing it. If that means you need to start seeing a therapist about your low self-esteem, warped perspective on sexual and relationship issues, and the damage caused by your strict religious upbringing, then so be it. I'd strongly recommend it (not that this hasn't been said to you here before, many times, by many different people).
