I think some of it may be staged for the cameras or edited for effect. But I've met kids just like her in Cancun. They show up, usually, on spring break using their parents visa for everything. Many of these kids get this trip for their 16th birthday. In between bouts of drunken stupidity you can hear them complain about how they wanted a BMW and their moron parents bought them a "fucking Honda" instead.
Moron parents? Damn right!
My kid worked and saved for her first car and she didn't drive it until she could change both the oil and a flat tire. The easy way out would have been to write a check and buy it for her, believe me it would have saved a lot of complaining and drama. But when it comes to parenting the easy way out is almost always wrong, IMO.
