No doubt about that, but the reason they're interested in the most sensational story is because they're interested in ratings. Which is why the only way to get them to do something is to gather pressure. We can all sit around and say "they don't care" and not bother to tell them that
we do, or, we can take 10 minutes and do something about it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but at least we tried. And the more people you get to join you, the less meaningless your own efforts were.
