Today, they would "fix" these issues with CGI.
And I am not even talking about the absolute joy of the physical nature of the stunts. Hopefully, Spielberg can, as Martian suggests, keep the worst of Lucas at bay.

Something tells me Harrison isn't doing his own stunts anymore.
FUN FACT: Rumour has it that one of the most iconic scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark came about because Harrison Ford had the trots. The original script for the Egypt chase sequence involved Indiana having a protracted swordfight with the man in black. Mr. Ford, who was feeling a bit under the weather at the time, suggested that Indy just shoot him instead.
EDIT - It should also be noted that Spielberg also has a history of buggering up old films. I wonder if Indy will trade his sixgun for a walkie-talkie?
