A mates boss had a 928 many years back. Had the radiotor get blown in the middle of nowhere in scotland.
Found a local garage that managed to "put together" a replacement radiator. It lasted for the journey home, at which point the engine decided that it had enough of the hack job that the garage had done and died.
It is the most under-rated car Porsche have ever made, and for me at least, one of the best looking, shapeliest cars ever to grace the road. And the engine note is absolutely perfect.
