I forgot to state that I opted to not use something attached to my computer directly because I wanted to be able to do the conversions without losing my ability to do other things while it was encoding or burning. It had to be easy enough for my wife to use as well and not just limited to the "one computer."

The units above are can be used in stand alone modes or attached to the computer.
