Wow, amazing responses. It has been a really long time since I updated the OP, I apologize, I've been pretty busy.
Time for some updating, possibly some new categories/reorganizing. Thanks so much, you guys. Free is truly awesome.

A good read, most of which I knew, but certainly a good refresher. My intention was mostly to show and share applications that were free of charge, because paying for software is often something people (like myself, and many others) can't afford. I will add the link to the OP so people can see what Free software is, and isn't.
