So I got my HSV type specific test results back today and I am negative for HSV-2
I was really worried because since my results were mixed I didnt know if I could have both HSV-1 and 2 (since most people who have type 2 don't know it) ...I have gotten cold sores so I know that I would be positive for HSV-1 but my doctor thinks the tear was from sex like i thought it was if it ever happens again I will get a culture done on it but my doctor says it is highly unlikely that I would have HSV1 in the genital region because of having a history of cold sores but I am relieved its good to not have that on my mind anymore as a possibility...i hope you ladies are all doing well and I hope u have a happy and healthy (and tear free
